The Department of Economics of Jamia Millia Islamia is one of the oldest Department which was established in 1971, under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Economics department is one of the highly reputed and renowned in the domain of economics. The department maintains a high standards in terms of teaching and learning process which includes Smart Class Room – unique and a Computer Lab which is well-equipped in terms of Hardware's and Software's including application of Econometric Software’s Like SPSS, E-views, STATA etc. The students are admitted after a rigorous selection process which includes both written test and interviews. Passed B.A. / B.A.(Hons.) in the subject concerned with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. OR

B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. or B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. (Hons.) with not less than 55% marks in aggregate.
