The Economics of the Delhi School of Economics or popularly known as DSE or D School, is one of the oldest departments of Delhi University. DSE MA Economics Registration
Registration for admission to M.A. Economics at the Department of Economics, Delhi School of Economics is as per Delhi University rules and all the information can be availed at University. Further information can also be seen on Delhi University is available at Delhi University.
DSE MA Economics Entrance Exam Pattern
Questions - 50
Marks - 100
Marking - For every correct answer 2 and for every wrong 2/3 deducted.
Duration - 2 Hours
DSE MA Economics Entrance Exam Eligibility
Direct Entry/Merit Mode: Students needs to score at least 60% or equivalent CGPA in the aggregate of the B.A. Economics (Hons) of the University of Delhi.
Entrance Test Mode: Students needs to score at least 60% or First Division or equivalent CGPA in any Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any subject from the University of Delhi or any Indian University recognized by the University of Delhi.
DSE MA Economics Entrance - Important Note
According to University guidelines, 50% seats from every category are allotted for direct admission of students who have done their graduation with B.A. Economics (Hons) of Delhi University, subject to eligibility conditions. However, they are advised in their own interest to opt for the Entrance Test as well.
Now the remaining 50% seats will be allotted through an Entrance Test.
Reservations will be applicable separately for both the modes of admissions.
All applicants/ students are required to register themselves online, irrespective of the mode of intake.
The minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test will be 40% (General category) and 36% (OBC category).
Shortlisting of students for departmental scholarships will be done on the basis of the Entrance Test only.
DSE MA Economics Entrance Syllabus
The DSE MA Economics Entrance Examination will include concepts in four basic areas in Economics: (a) microeconomic theory, (b) macroeconomic theory, (c) mathematical techniques used by economists, and (d) probability, statistics and econometrics as well.
