JNU MA Economics

The Master's in Economics (M.A.) was introduced in the year of 1995/96 by the department and the changing economic environment of India in mind. JNU M.A. Economics course was designed with a clear emphasis on emerging global issues like trade, technology, environment, development which makes it unique and distinct from conventional M.A. Economics courses offered elsewhere in India. The course emphasis on theoretical background and provides students with analytical tools and techniques for understanding the evolution of the economy at global level as well. Further, the course aims to train students as professional economists for the government, non-government and the corporate sectors.
